COLUMBUS, Neb. — Loup Power District has awarded scholarships to eight area students who are attending Central Community College in Columbus this fall.
Loup Power District has presented scholarships to high school graduates in Nance, Boone, Colfax and Platte counties and a portion of Madison County for over 50 years. We present these scholarships to students in hopes they remain in this area to further their education and after college, plan careers here.
Selection is based on academic achievement, employment and school activities, personal statement, application, and recommendations.
Scholarship recipients are: Columbus High School — Silvia DeLeon; Fullerton High School — Jerrod C. Land; Humphrey High School — Jarrod Z. Abernathy; Lakeview High School — Juan M. Garcia Alarcon; Riverside Public High School — Ashtyn G. Heikes; Schuyler Central High School — Hector D. Cruz; Scotus Central Catholic — Kamren R. Kudron; Twin River High School — Ryder J. Kleckner.
