Scott Gottsch has retired from Loup Power District after 26 years of service.
Gottsch joined Loup in 1998 as a Maintenance Man at the Genoa Headworks. In 2000, he was promoted to Carpenter/Utilityman on the Canal Crew based out of the Columbus Service Center.
Gottsch was promoted to Headgates Operator at the Genoa Headworks in 2008 and transferred to the position of Storekeeper I in 2016. He was promoted to Equipment Operator in 2023.
In his most recent role, Gottsch operated the District’s heavy equipment and was part of the crew that performs maintenance on the canal system from Genoa to Columbus. He also worked at the two powerhouses when needed, helped build substations, and maintained District parks and lakes.
Gottsch is a graduate of Monroe High School. He and his wife, Sandy, are the parents of three children: Kelly, Megan and Courtney. They have nine grandchildren.
