COLUMBUS, Neb. — Five high school graduates were awarded Linkages/STEM/STEAM Scholarships for their work in science, technology, and engineering courses at their high schools.
The Linkages/STEM/STEAM Programs are recognized nationally, supporting high schools offering quality programs. The Columbus Economic Council, Loup Power District, and local businesses provide support for the program.
Scholarship recipients are: Columbus High School —Tanner Esch, Victoria Dannelly, Collin Jaster; Lakeview High School —Jack Burns; Scotus Central Catholic — Luke Chard.
The following local sponsors provided important financial support to this year’s program: ADM Corn Processing, Behlen Mfg., Columbus Bank and Trust Company, Columbus Community Hospital, Duo Lift Manufacturing, Pinnacle Bank, and TORIN Products, Inc.
Since its beginning in 2004, the Linkages Program has awarded 216 scholarships totaling $75,575.
