
Tom Wood was recently recognized for 35 years of service to Loup Power District.
Wood joined Loup in 1991 as an apprentice line technician at Fullerton. He was promoted to line technician in 1993 and to journey line technician in 1997. In 2005, Wood was promoted to crew leader. Division.
In this role, Wood oversees the construction and maintenance of Loup’s electrical transmission and distribution system in the Fullerton Division. This division includes the communities of Fullerton, Belgrade, St. Edward, Cedar Rapids, Primrose, Genoa, and Monroe.
Wood is a graduate of Abraham Lincoln High School in Council Bluffs. He earned an Associate of Applied Science in general studies with an emphasis in business from Iowa Western Community College. He also earned an Associate of Applied Science in utility from Northeast Community College in Norfolk.
Wood and his wife, Jennifer, have two children: Paige and Tate.
